Review 1:
From time to time, my garbage disposal develops an unpleasant odor. This easy-to-use disposal cleaner takes care of the odor, with lasting effect. All that's required is to run some hot water into the disposer, drop in a packet, and run the disposer for a few minutes until the blue foam subsides. One treatment lasts several days or weeks, depending on how heavily the disposer is used.

I've also tried the cute little drop-in "bubble bath pearl" cleaners (for example, Plink Garbage Disposal Cleaner and Deodorizer). These leave a pleasant fragrance right after use, but usually the odor will return in a day or so. Thus they require much more frequent repeat treatments than the Disposer Care packets.

Review 2:
I have to admit I haven't tried other products that do this. I have been so pleased with this brand I always just get this one. It even cleans the pipe that flows between the 2 sinks. A lot of the odor comes from that. I have some trouble finding this locally so got it from Amazom this time. It is worth the hunt.

After a tree full of lemon's and assorted other sure-fire remedies with no results i tried this product. HOT-DANG! One big SWOOSH and clean as a whistle whilst smelling like a boquet of free roses!! Still have 5 packets left, such a deal!!

I searched all the stores in my area (Syracuse, NY) and couldn't find this product (I had used it in San Diego a year or so ago). When I found it on amazon.com, I was thrilled. This works really well. I just hope some of our stores will start stocking it.

For nearly 14 years of continuous use, Disposer Care has done what it needed to do: kept 3 households' disposers fresh and clear, forestalled unpleasant odors, worked within single, double, and triple sink drains. Wish the packets had kept their larger size, though; during times of heavy disposer use recently, I've run a second packet through right after the first. I understand, though: costs are rising for even the best companies. (If baking soda, ammonia, or disinfectant cleaners had done just as good a job, I wouldn't have kept buying Disposer Care: I'm poor enough not to waste $.
