Roebic K-67 Reviews

Review 1:
We have a basement pipe where our laundry wash drains into. We noticed that it was starting to back up onto our basement floor. We paid a plumber $200 to clear the drain. He said it was due to sludge buildup because our kitchen sink also drains into the same pipe. He tried to sell me a similar product for $50. I was so happy to find this product for around $15. With monthly use it has kept our drain sludge free.

Review 2:
This product works amazingly well. We had a smelly sink drain in our batchroom that we tried all sorts of products on to clean, but nothing really worked until we tried this. Just mix it up, pour it in and leave it overnight. It seems like we have to do it once every one or two months, but it is so easy that it is no big deal.

Review 3:
I had a kitchen sink that was starting to smell quite badly (both the drain and underneath in the cabinet area) but exhibited no real flow issues. The smell wasn't familiar and didn't smell like sewer gas so I guessed there was likely some buildup of food or fat in the trap. I don't really make a habit out of dumping coffee grinds or grease down the drain but as part of cleaning pans and my french press I can see how either might build up over time when I'm not being careful enough. Anyway, I decided to give this bacterial cleaner a try. As per instructions I poured the solution down the drain and let it sit overnight. The next morning I still detected a faint odor through the drain, while the cabinet still retained a strong odor. I left the doors open to air out the cabinet area and ran a few gallons of boiling water down the drain - 12 hours later and the smell is pretty much eliminated. I think I'll give it another dose again tonight but this seemed to resolve my issue quite effectively.

It doesn't really say in the product details but 1 dosage is equal to two level cap-fulls (it's a rather shallow cap) and my guess is if you used this monthly for maintenance on 2-3 drains it would last you quite a long time.
